What Happens?
We’d love for you to join us on Sunday! Our service is a place where we come together to celebrate and connect with God and each other.
Where to Find Us
We meet at the Waverley Primary Academy for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.
What About Children?
We have a vibrant children’s ministry called Rooted Kidz, running during the message for children aged 0–12. Our age-specific groups (Buds, Blossoms, and Fruits) offer a safe, fun, and faith-filled environment for your children to grow. Safeguarding is a priority of ours and all of our teachers are DBS checked.
What to Expect on Sunday
We’d love to meet you! At Waverley Community Church, our Sunday gatherings are informal, lively, and full of contemporary worship. We’re a multi-ethnic, family-friendly church with a real heart for our community.
After the service we offer tea, coffee, cold drinks, and plenty of nibbles — sandwiches, fruit, pizza and more — a great chance to relax and connect with others. Our excellent children’s church, Rooted Kidz, runs alongside the main service so your little ones are well looked after and engaged.
Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a new church family, you’re welcome to come as you are. No dress code. No pressure. Just a warm invitation to discover God and community at your own pace.
Pre-Service Prayer
10:00 – 10:30 am
Before the service begins, we gather for a time of prayer to prepare our hearts for worship and invite God’s presence.
Praise & Worship
We kick off with vibrant, contemporary worship led by our band. Feel free to stand, sing, raise your hands or simply soak it all in — engage however feels comfortable to you.
The Message
Each week we open the Bible together for a message that’s practical, inspiring, and rooted in God’s truth. We also display Scripture on-screen, so no need to worry if you don’t have a Bible with you.
Communion
Every first Sunday of each month, we take communion together, remembering what Jesus has done for us. There’s never any pressure to participate if you’d rather observe.
Rooted Kidz
Our children’s ministry, Rooted Kidz, runs alongside the main service. Kids enjoy fun, age-appropriate Bible lessons, games, and crafts in a safe, welcoming environment.
Fellowship
When the service ends, we’d love to get to know you more! So, let’s have a nice cuppa, or whatever tickles your fancy with a few nibbles of course! It’s a relaxed time to meet new people and catch up with friends.
